Compares the first sheet of each file, row by row — a row counts as matching only when every column is identical. Rows that don't appear in the other file (whether added, removed, or edited) are listed out separately.

An edited row shows up in both result lists — once as the "old" version only in File 1, once as the "new" version only in File 2 — since the tool compares whole rows, not individual cells across versions. A row that's only in one list with nothing corresponding in the other was purely added or removed.
