Split PDF

Extract a range of pages into a new PDF, or split every page into its own file — no sign-up, no upload, no file size limit.

Drop a PDF here, or click to browse

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server, so there's no file size limit, no subscription, and no one but you ever sees what's in your file.

How it works

Upload a PDF and the tool reads its page count automatically. Choose Extract page range to pull out a set of consecutive pages as one new PDF, or Split every page to break the whole document into individual single-page files, downloaded together as a .zip.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the two modes?+

"Extract page range" pulls a set of consecutive pages (say, pages 3 to 7) out into one new PDF. "Split every page" breaks the entire document into individual single-page PDFs, delivered together as a .zip file.

Can I extract more than one range at a time?+

Not in a single pass — run the tool again with a different page range for each set of pages you need. Splitting into individual pages and re-merging the ones you want with the Merge PDF tool is another option for more complex selections.

Does splitting affect quality?+

No — pages are copied exactly as they exist in the source file, with no re-rendering or recompression.

Is there a page count or file size limit?+

No hard limit — this runs in your browser rather than on a server. Very large PDFs (hundreds of pages) split into individual files will take longer and use more memory while the .zip is built.

Keep a backup of your original file. This tool processes everything locally in your browser, and we've tested it carefully — but no conversion tool handles every PDF perfectly. Always keep your original file and double-check important results before relying on them.
